Hip Hop history was made tonight in Brooklyn at the Knitting Factory. The event was a fundraiser for diabetes awareness put together by Phife Dawg x Heavy Sound. Many great performers hit the stage like KRS-1, Dres from Black Sheep, Jeru the Damaja, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Jay Electronica but when Consequence came out he said he was gonna fuck the stage up..and he did..Halfway thru his set he brought out Phife and they had a extra mic..You knew it was about to go down when Ali Shaheed jumped behind the turntables. As soon as the beat for “Sucka Nigga” dropped out came Q-tip and the crowd went crazy.They performed Award Tour and Oh My God as well..wish they did more but that was enough for me..Just glad I was able to witness that moment…Peep the video of Jay Electronica x Talib Kweli performing “Just Begun” after the jump..
